How many times has it happened in the history that the entire mankind bows to one man?

How many times has it happened that the entire world remembers a teacher and a student?

How many individuals in the world are ready to sacrifice their life for bringing up their country?

How many billions of people across the world irrespective of caste, gender, status, and country can get inspired by one man?

It has happened. And it has happened in India.

The Hindu monk who swore himself to spread the Indian culture across the world. The man who is inseparable from the Vedanta philosophy. The man who is the inspiration for achievement. The monk who is still alive in many of our thoughts and deeds. One of the greatest Orators the world has seen and heard.

The patriot saint of India – Swami Vivekananda.

His birth anniversary 12th January is celebrated as National Youth Day in India. Ramakrishna mission is the organization that he founded to spread the teachings of his god like ‘guru’ Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. This organization strives to spread the Indian culture, heritage and Vedanta philosophy.

No Indian can forget these lines:

“Sisters and brothers of America….. “ At Chicago conference in 1893. The lines which received the thunderstorm applause as well as a standing ovation.

Age is just a number. Come, let’s all immerse in the values and teachings of this great soul. Let us celebrate the spirit of nationalism and patriotism on this National Youth Day. Let us all arise, awake and stop not till we reach our goal.
